Charles Jean Baptiste Collin-Mezin (1841-1923) started his career working for his father but then set up his shop in rue Faubourg-Poissonniere, Paris in 1868. He copied Stradivarius, Amati and Guarneri models and won several awards for his work. This beautiful example was made in 1882 and is in excellent condition.
