Charalambos Andreas Vatiliotis or Harry as he is known left Cyprus for Sydney in 1952. He served an apprenticeship with A E Smith in Sydney and continued the tradition of fine Australian violin making. Smith died in 1978. Our Vatiliotis viola was made when Smith was still alive.
